Horrid experience in Neumünster!
Saturday morning 31th of may we are driving to Germany to show our pugs.
The show itself was very nice and despite the warm weather most of the showpeople was in a good mood.
The big shock we are getting in the ring! I am standing with a bunch of other showpeople in the ring and is waiting for our turn.
Next to me is a man with a little black male pug, who very clearly is very scared and very thirsty.
A danish dogshow’er is standing outside the ringside and is trying to sneak a bit of water to the dog,
who is so scared so he is only drinking a very little bit of this water
When the judge asked us to go around in the ring, this little dog is so scared he did not want to go.
He is lying down and then the owner begins to walk around in the ring while the dog - who is still lying down,
is being draged lying down in the ring without the judge or some other one is asking this man to leave the ring!
I was in shock, and has never seen anything like that!
This is being repeatedly several times with dogs from same breeder and still he gets to drag these poor dogs around in the ring,
while they are lying down and is scared! I do not dare to think what life those dogs have outside the ring!
Mostly I am angry at myself and those other people who only stand there and watch this happen, how those dogs were being treated.
It is not a comfort to me that I after the judgement is getting in contact with the judge and ask him how he could watch this and not do anything?
This judge has the power to suspend such a breeder, he should have reported this breeder to the club,
who then could have made a visit at this breeder to see how his dogs were in the kennel!
I know that next time I see such a thing happen I will shout and scream even if I get punished then it is to bad,
but then this breeder knows that not everyone thinks it is right to do this!
I have sent a complaint to the German club and I hope someone else will do the same,
we were many who saw this happen, this include danish showpeople too.
